Having a Harry Potter party and want a great decoration to set the tone? Make my DIY Harry Potter flying keys. Hung at varying heights, kids and adults seem to go crazy over them. We kept ours and turned them into Harry Potter room decor after our party.
Make kindness kits at your next party! Kindness kits are kits made up of a few essentials for those in need. You can make kindness kits with your kids or let your guests make one as a parting gift before they leave your next party. They’re small enough to keep in the console of your car and are the perfect way to help someone in need.
My friend Alice and I are taking a road trip from Orange County to San Francisco with Kia, checking out their new Niro PHEV. We wanted to spread a little cheer this holiday season, so we’re assembling kindness kits to give out along our drive. [Read more…]
Make an easy Minions party that looks great! This is a sponsored conversation written by me on behalf of #HallmarkAtWalgreens
We have a very special birthday coming. Blake is turning three! One of his favorite things to do is walk around making Minion noises and we recently took the whole family to see Despicable Me 3. So it felt all too appropriate to put together a truly easy Minions party.
I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again. When it comes to parties for kids, I don’t believe in spending hours painstakingly creating some Pinterest perfect decor. I try to make things look nice, but it’s all simple and comes together quickly. For kids, it’s about the experience. Do they feel celebrated and loved? What can they get their hands on? Are they allowed to do something that’s out of the norm and therefore extra fun?
Make my DIY Elena of Avalor party backdrop! It’s an Elena of Avalor inspired floral pegboard that makes the perfect backdrop for your party table. Thanks to Disney Junior for sponsoring this project.
About a year ago, Elena of Avalor quickly made her way into our hearts. I was excited to see a princess who didn’t act like a conventional princess, waiting to be rescued by a prince. Instead, Elena was bold and independent, while also open to constructive criticism and teamwork. A role model that went much deeper than a pretty dress or magical powers.
Over winter break our friends at Nintendo sent a surprise package with Mario Party Star Rush in it and I put it aside to save for Kayla’s quickly approaching 8th birthday. It always sneaks up on me. By the time I pack up the holiday decorations BAM, I’m supposed to be hosting a birthday party. So in thinking of something easy and fun I could do to highlight Kayla’s current Mario love affair I made this simple Super Mario Bros printable star confetti.
This is a sponsored conversation written by me on behalf of Disney and Latina Bloggers Connect. The opinions and text are all mine. Are you thinking of having an Elena of Avalor party? If you are I have a bunch of Elena of Avalor DIY ideas for you from this Elena Of Avalor party.
Over the years I’ve created a bunch of mini parties and my goal is always to create something that is filled with fun, age appropriate activities for the kids, looks cute pulled together and any parent can do. So you won’t find overly complicated DIY’s or party food here.
Instead I’d much rather you enjoy the time with your kids and not stress over your scepter cake pops turning out perfect. The kids won’t remember that. They will remember having fun and being allowed to be kids!
