Find the things you love for yourself and your home on eBay. Thanks to eBay for sponsoring this post and helping me find all the things I wish I had bought the first time I saw them!
Everyone has a favorite thing in their room. Or at least I hope they do. For me, it’s my garment rack. It lives in our bedroom not as a need for wardrobe overflow, but as a place to refine, remind and reimagine.
Do you remember the days when life was a little more carefree? When weekend nights were spent getting ready with girlfriends and we swapped outfits like we now swap baby gear? Yeah. It’s been a while. Before I was a mom I lived in NYC and worked in the fashion industry. This garment rack allows me to take a little trip back in time and helps me keep things curated.
I my modern garment rack to hang up recent purchases, so they stay top of mind instead of getting buried in my closet. When time allows, I pull out older items from my closet, create looks to try on and see if they are as cute as I envisioned. Having outfits easily accessible makes it easy for me to throw on something other than yoga pants in the morning. When I’m packing for a trip, it helps me keep track of what I need, how it all goes together and where there is room to edit down.
They say nothing haunts us like the things we didn’t buy. I’ve seen that posted on Facebook and Instagram many times over the last few years. And I’d be lying if I said there wasn’t truth to it. For me, eBay has always been a place to go and hunt down those things that have been haunting me.
You see my “lucky” pink skirt on that rack? I wear it to every work conference I attend. It was a J.Crew purchase a few years back and quickly became a staple in my wardrobe. Sadly I had bought it on sale, so by the time I realized how much I loved it, it was sold out and my hopes of snagging another color were gone. But of course, eBay to the rescue! I now have the white version, new with tags hanging in my closet just waiting for summer and possibly a dip dye customization.
Same goes for the Lululemon jacket I passed up in the store five years ago. Yes, that jacket haunted me for FIVE years and then I recently snapped it up for a fraction of the price it had been way back when. I’ll pay for style, but who doesn’t enjoy the thrill of a bargain as well?
Here’s the thing many of us don’t realize about eBay. While it’s clearly the go-to for the things we missed out on, it also bears the largest selection of home items. eBay has over 12 million home items and almost 1 million new items added each week. I’m currently loving this blush velvet chair, these modern planters and this bohemian pink Safavieh rug.
There’s a good chance I’m buying that rug. Husband, I dare you to stop me! Throw in one of these IKEA RENS sheepskins add some Hotel Collection bedding and you’ve got my ideal room. Fortunately, we have the Hotel Collection bedding already.
This garment rack I love so much? Yes, you can find it on eBay, direct from Overstock. Many of the largest home decor sellers like Wayfair, Hayneedle and The Mine are also on eBay with exclusive deals. The shipping? It’s free- which is exactly how I like my online purchases.
Whatever it is you are looking for, there’s a good chance you’ll find it on eBay.
