This jingle bell terrarium makes for some stylish, understated holiday decor that requires NO maintenance. If you’re like me and can kill succulents, then it’s perfect. Making it is so simple that your kids can do it. Though it’s nice to make on your own as a quick project if you need a few minutes to yourself.
Here’s what you’ll need for your jingle bell terrarium:
- metallic gravel or vase filler – I used this
- large jingle bells
- miniature glitter ornaments
- miniature bottle brush christmas trees
- ornamental terrarium
I started with the metallic glass vase filler on the bottom. Next I added a few miniature glitter ornaments followed by the jingle bells. Last I added in the mini bottle brush trees. This package has a variety of sizes and comes in different colors.
After that I spent a few minutes looking at the jingle bell terrarium from different angles to ensure that I liked the way it looked and repositioned the bottle brush trees a bit. The metallic glass or gravel below gives the bottle brush trees a base to balance on so they can sit properly amongst the jingle bells.
That was it! The end result was pretty cute. You can do put this jingle bell terrarium together in about 5 minutes and it looks great in an entryway, on a mantle or a coffee table. I can see a few of them on top of a runner going down a long table for a holiday meal or party. Add a nice ribbon and it can be a hostess gift.
