I’d Rather Stay Home With You { Fall Printable }

September 13, 2016 By Jillian Warner

Looking for a free fall printable? I’ve got you covered. #FallForStarbucks  This blog post was sponsored by Starbucks but the opinions are completely my own based on my experience.

I don’t know about you, but I’ve started grabbing a sweater in the morning here,so it seems fair to say that Fall is making its way to San Diego. Do you have a  favorite season? I never thought I’d say fall was mine but I’m going to. And here’s why.

Fall is about getting cozy. It’s hot coffee and a cool breeze but nothing too cold to bear. Fall is the time for fluffy pillows and a fuzzy throw and preparing to spend more time at home with your favorite people.

And that’s just it. The more time at home part. Because this right here describes me perfectly.

I’ve seen some printables around Etsy and Instagram related to staying home but wanted something uniquely mine. So I made my own stating “I’d rather stay home with you.” It’s reflective of my feelings quite often and why I tend to say no to most events unless they are for someone close to my heart. If it speaks to you, you can download it here.

While I love fall, I’m not a huge fan of obvious traditional fall decor. Brightly colored leaves, pumpkins and strong cinnamon scents are filling craft and home decor stores right now, but they’re just not my style.

Instead I decided to take a much needed mom break and head to Target (surprise!) for some coffee and my own take on fall decor. As I sipped my favorite Starbucks coffee, my creative brain began to wake up and get inspired.

First I bought a frame for my printable. Have to get the essentials first before the Target effect kicks in and your forget what you came for, right?

Next, I grabbed this game I had been eyeing for a couple of trips. It looked like something Kayla, Craig and I would enjoy on a weekend afternoon while Blake takes a nap.

I found myself in front of a big display of Halloween candy because yes, it’s nearly that time again. I grabbed a bag of miniature chocolate bars, a house favorite and used them to fill a candy dish. Why wait until Halloween? I’d rather spread the fun out over time. Let’s just say the husband approves this piece of decor.

And of course I picked up coffee. Pumpkin Spice season is in full effect, you know. Normally I only buy ground coffee but something told me to buy coffee beans as well.

Which is exactly how I wound up making these cute little coffee bean tea lights. I filled mismatched cups and glasses with some Starbucks French Roast beans and then added a flickering electric tea light to the middle. They look fun, they smell incredible (I’m awake!) and I can see making a bunch of them as a centerpiece for a brunch table one day.

Naturally, just about everything I needed (and a whole lot more)  I was able to grab at Target.
