Living in San Diego, we don’t usually make the transition to cold weather clothes until November. So just a couple of weeks ago I started performing the closet swap for Kayla. Immediately one thing was very clear – Kayla had a massive growth spurt and needed new EVERYTHING. We’ve reached the point where I can’t just go a pick out whatever I like and bring it home for her. She has opinions. Lots of them. And I can’t blame her because I’m 99.5% sure she gets it from me.
So I took her shopping in a store that gave me a dose of childhood nostalgia. Maybe it was the Lite Brite inspired leggings. Or perhaps it was because Justice is actually the same store I shopped in as a tween myself. Regardless we actually had a blast shopping together and were able to find a bunch of styles we both really liked. Can I get an amen?
It started with a pair of candy cane leggings. I thought they were the perfect dose of casual Christmas spirit and comfy enough to run and play in. Kayla was elated at the option of having candy cane legs.
I added a cheery (and very affordable) sweater which was perfectly timed for the 30 degree temperature drop that happened nearly overnight. Kayla spotted this headband and asked if she could please have it. How could I say no? Kitten ears and jingle bells to complete the look. Sold. What I didn’t expect was to receive such amazing service while shopping. The Justice staff was very helpful in making suggestions and finding sizes. I don’t usually say things like this, but I actually left the Westfield UTC location and told a friend I would return without question just because of the service.
We also picked up some colorful everyday outfits that spoke to Kayla’s personality. Emoji leggings, some bright layering hoodies were our favorite finds. Justice is definitely a destination for stylish tween girls this holiday season. Whether shopping in-store or online, Justice makes it easy and for anyone with a tween girl in their life to find some special holiday gifts.
I was also shocked to see that Justice had some toys Kayla loves that are very hard to find. The Shopkins Metallic So Cool Fridge I’ve seen on eBay for three times the retail was just sitting there on the shelf. Not to mention they also had Glitzi Globes surprise eggs. Suffice to say I made a second trip alone to stock up for the holidays.
If you’re not big on shopping in store during the holiday season, Shopjustice.com has a great of web exclusive styles and sizes. There is even a Outfitting tool to help visualize your final look!
