Casual observation: time is flying. Because I could have sworn it was just winter and now suddenly we are in the thick of summer? Whoa. More than ever I feel self induced pressure to make the most of summer and spend time outdoors with Kayla before suddenly I’m on house arrest with a snuggly mini monkey. So let the marathon of eating up summer with my stylish little pre-tween begin. There is such a thing as a pre-tween, right?
Craig and I have noticed a pretty obvious change in Kayla in the last year. Maybe it’s why this is the age kids go to kindergarten. Suddenly she’s full of big kid thoughts, opinion, preferences and questions. And I can’t keep the child out of my closet. She wants to be big. And wear mommy’s stuff. On one hand, it’s adorable, on the other I want to keep her small forever. And safe. And okay, maybe a little stylish like her mother. Which is precisely why I’ve had my eye on Babiators for a while.
Kayla is very happily wearing polarized Babiators. I don’t know about your child, but I have hundreds of photos of her doing the “squint face” because her eyes are pretty sensitive. I love that these polarized glasses are reflective and offer 100% sun protection and lots of glare reduction. Plus, they look pretty freaking cool.
And if that’s not mini-me enough, Babiators sends out their polarized glasses in a just-like-mom case to keep them safe. They call it the Cloud Case and it does the perfect job of protecting those little glasses from the terrors of a diaper bag or handbag.
If you’re a little more budget conscious then Babiators also has their original sunglasses which offer total sun protection, flexible frames and shatterproof lenses just like the polarized ones. In fact, little man already has his own pair just waiting to go. And if you were wondering, yes they are a different size from Kayla’s. Babiators makes a size that works from 0-3 years old and then one meant for ages 3-7.
Basically, they have quickly become a family favorite. I think they are the best kids sunglasses out there. And let’s be honest, they make for some really cute photographs. You can check out the different colors and style of Babiators. I happen to think they make a nice original first birthday gift or baby gift that parents can really use and appreciate. Oh, and rumor has it Babiators is exploring the underwater world of eye protection. Which is clearly of interest to this waterlogged child…
