Our family headed back to Great Wolf Lodge for their Halloween celebration, Howloween this past week and I thought I’d share some of the highlights. While we were there we took over the Great Wolf Lodge Instagram for the weekend so here’s our trip, mostly in squares.
Thanks to Kia for giving my friends and I girl time while showing us #thenewkia in San Diego
When was the last time you found yourself laughing so hard you couldn’t breathe while surrounded by a group of friends who get you? Who respect you? Who tell it like it is and who you can just do you around? If you’re like me then it has probably been a bit too long. And we need to fix that, mmmkay? You ready? You NEED girl time. Here is how to do it in 5 easy steps.
Thanks to Legoland California for inviting us to visit One World Trade Center in #MinilandNYC The new Freedom Tower at Legoland California is amazing!
Recently I took Kayla to Legoland California for the ribbon cutting of One World Trade Center in Miniland. The week before I attempted to explain 9/11 to Kayla in a way that seemed appropriate for a seven year old. Which wasn’t exactly easy. Last weekend Craig and I headed to the amazing La Quinta Resort in Palm Springs. We have gone every year for the last four years and have never once taken our kids. I doubt we ever will no matter how many times people ask where our kids are and why we didn’t bring them.
In this life of parenting it seems we share everything with our children. Food is instantly more appealing if it comes off of mom’s plate. Personal space is like an urban myth. The next time I’ll shower without interruption for urgent tattling will probably be around 2026. Even my hidden super secret chocolate bars wind up being shared in the end because how can I say no to a smiling Kayla just wanting a teensy weensy piece pretty please? [Read more…]
