With the arrival of spring and flowers on the brain I found myself with the sudden irrational urge to make a flower crown. And with some new cute stuffed animals in our home from the Pillowfort collection it only seemed right to create some mini flower crowns so they could join in the fun too.

The week before Christmas, Blake’s little bestie came down with hand, foot and mouth disease. You can see where this is going, right? After taking care of a poor sick little guy for a week my reward was, drumroll… My own very painful case of hand, foot and mouth disease. I’ll spare you most of the details but it was horrible. To the tune of my hands being covered in blisters so badly that I couldn’t even type, cook or do much of anything. Did I mention as this was happening a house full of family was arriving for Christmas? Yeah.

Do you have a Pout Pout Fish lover on your hands? I sure do! In fact The Pout Pout Fish has become my new favorite children’s book for its invaluable lesson that at the end of the day you make a conscious decision to be who you are. Happy or sad, pouty or delightfully puckered and ready to spread the love. Kayla at 6 years old she can fully grasp the concept. Blake at year old loves the repetition and saying blub, bluuub, bluuuuuub over and over before breaking into a big grin.
