Funny glasses and little kids go together like ice cream and sprinkles. Yep. So when I spotted these silly heart valentine glasses in the Valentine’s Day section at Target in my cart they went. Add my valentine glasses printable and you’ve got a great non-food valentine class valentine for school.
Here’s what you’ll need to use my valentine glasses printable:
- Valentine glasses like these
- My valentine glasses printable which you can download in yellow, pink or turquoise. I personally fell in love with the yellow because it felt so bright and different from the traditional pink, purple and red we’re all used to seeing.
- Card stock
- String or baker’s twine
- Scissors – if you like my rose gold scissors you can find them here
- Craft knife or box cutter (this is optional but makes things go faster)
Print my valentine glasses printable. Since the sunglasses are larger than most things you’d add to a valentine I recommend printing these two on a page scaled to 80%. If you’d like them larger you can print them two to a page at 100%.
Once you’ve cut your valentine glasses printable then place the glasses on the printable and make a slit on the top and bottom of the nose piece. Next run the baker’s twine through these slits and tie on your glasses. Repeat until you’ve tackled that class list! I used a contrasting twine color to keep things looking fun and not-so-traditional Valentine’s Day.
In an age where food based valentines are banned from most schools I think these valentines are a great non-food valentine.
